James Gunn

Following the resolution of the prolonged strike, James Gunn has reassured fans that his first DC film, ‘Superman: Legacy,’ remains on schedule for its anticipated release on July 11, 2025. Despite the extensive disruptions due to the strikes, Gunn expressed gratitude for the unwavering dedication of the talented crew working on the movie. Their commitment and tireless efforts in developing captivating character designs and impressive sets have ensured the film remains on track.

‘Superman: Legacy’ delves into the journey of Superman, exploring his quest to reconcile his Kryptonian lineage with his upbringing as Clark Kent in Smallville, Kansas. As he embodies the values of truth, justice, and the American way, the character grapples with the significance of human kindness in a world that often overlooks these virtues.

The film boasts a confirmed cast, including David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as Clark Kent and Lois Lane, alongside Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and Edi Gathegi in other significant roles.

While DC adheres to its original plans, Marvel Studios had to adjust its lineup for the upcoming year. ‘Deadpool 3,’ initially scheduled for May 2024, has been rescheduled for a July release, and ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is set for a 2025 premiere in the wake of the strikes.
