The “Law & Order” franchise stands as one of the premier drama franchises in American television, with three ongoing series including the flagship “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.” Notably, the flagship series was previously adapted in the UK as “Law & Order: UK,” which enjoyed an eight-season run.
Fans of the franchise have long called for the return of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” the third longest-running series in the franchise, which aired for ten seasons. Vincent D’Onofrio, a prominent figure in the show, has been an outspoken advocate for a revival, or at least for himself and his co-lead Kathryn Erbe to reprise their roles within the existing “Law & Order” series.
